There is no 15 year old in history who didn’t have something scary happen to her. Not a one. Yeah, that night or for a while, it was traumatic. It’s part of life. Experiencing it CAN EVEN HELP YOU. Ideas to prevent whatever the scary thing was. Sympathy for friends or others who go through it. A desire to help people, that might turn into a career. Motivation to stick to safer choices in the future. Doesn’t matter what the scary thing is; it’s life stage appropriate, and hopefully the girl is whole thereafter (not blinded or permanently impaired).
