We are approaching early voting for the midterm elections.
The Democrats’ goals are to block the nomination until after the election (or at least the election has started, get those votes in the ballot box), block the release of the unredacted silent coup messages from the “Russia investigation”, and block the sentencing of Mannafort until after the election (this has already been done).

No way a crime is buried for forty years. That’s the troubling aspect about it.

If I were Kavanaugh, I’d go into hiding before the vote. The demodummies will not hesitate to keep him off the SCOTUS and a “permanent” removal may still be in their playbook having run out of all options.
Kavanaugh doesn’t strike me as the frat boy type.

I am not disseminating false accusations - it does seem to serm to me thait what his accuser says is true, it woukf contradict everythjng we know about Kavanaugh.
And since its referred ro as “sexual assault” I cannot imagine for the life of me, why he would seek to ruin his own life.
No matter what its called, its garbage.
Because groping isn’t a crime.
To put not to fine a point on it, when a decent person hears someone accused of sexual assault, they think rape.
So how am I making it worse? Either Kavanaugh committed a felony or he didn’t.

As for the rape thing, in the Bible Joseph is accused of raping his masters wife and spends time in prison for it.
Not every accusation is the truth. We all know that and Kavanaugh isn’t the first and won’t be the last man falsely accused.

I was under the impression here that groping is something boys do. When pray tell, did it become sexual assault.
To call it that, trivializes real sexual assault. I ask the forgiveness of other posters if I misheard.
Because I have always understood sexual assault to mean attempted or actual rape.
And I am not saying a good man committed that crime but since the media says Kavanaugh is accused of sexual assault, it siounds really bad.
And I would never impute to hm something he never did. I want to make that clear for the record.
He denied being there or being with her so there is nothing that would constitute a se malum offense. Period.

And just to remind everyone, what is really going on is the seriousness of the charge.
In a word, its a travesty.
Again, groping someone’s clothing (a top) does not equate to rape.
Fondling or groping a person without their consent is not rape.
There is a huge difference between the two regarding societal norms, legality, and the subsequent criminal charges and penalties.
Blasey-Ford has not made any rape accusation, nor should you.
