Trump: 'Republican leadership being 'played like a fiddle' by Dems on border security

President Trump accused congressional Republicans on Saturday of being played "like a fiddle" by Democrats on immigration reform and border security.

Trump also issued another call for his signature campaign promise of a building wall along the U.S.–Mexico border.

In a tweet, the president slammed Democrats for their immigration proposals, which he likened to "open borders" while accusing "Republican leadership" of going along with the minority party.

"When will Republican leadership learn that they are being played like a fiddle by the Democrats on Border Security and Building the Wall? Without Borders, we don’t have a country. With Open Borders, which the Democrats want, we have nothing but crime! Finish the Wall!" he wrote.

Im very touched by the president’s sincerity. He wants what’s best for his country and the politicians are scoundrels.

I don't understand how any elected official can put the perceived rights of non-citizens ahead of taxpaying, actual citizens.

One of the things that still pisses me off is watching Nancy Pelosi holding that huge oversized gavel and walking with Elijah Cummings through the people protesting Obamacare. This was the biggest FU to the American people in history. Yet, Republicans don't learn from this or maybe they do and just want to continue to be the Washington Generals. If the GOP, holding both sides of Congress, would have implemented a conservative, constitutional agenda on Day One of the Trump Administration, the Democrat Party and its allies would be in ruins right now.

Trump should tweet the photos of the 7 severed heads at the border, and ask, “Is this what America wants?”

Republicans in Congress have never known how to handle majority status. They believe in their hearts that rightful control belongs to the Democrats and that Republicans in the majority are somehow usurpers. they continually defer to the party they consider to be the Natural Ruling Class.

Arthurus, I tend to agree with you. I do think there’s more to it than that though. I think they agree on much of the stuff.

In their hearts, I think lots of Republicans fall for the global weather balderdash. I think many of them see no problem with our nation becoming 95% ex-Mexican citizens here.

They don’t care about the education system. They don’t care what our kids are being indoctrinated into.

One and on it goes.

Perhaps that’s why it seems like they defer to the Democrats. They’re on board many things they want to do.

The Democrats think very long term. They have a very firm strategic plan. They are willing to wait decades to implement their marxist vision.

The GOP has no plan or vision. They don’t mobilize or take any pro-active measures. When’s the last time the GOP organized a million-man march to abolish the welfare state, or privatize public education ? Hmmm?

If the GOP wanted a wall or enforcement any more than the Democrats we would not have needed President Trump.
For 30 years they have prevented US from electing anyone who would enforce the laws and borders.

The illegal alien inundation was not accidental, it was intentional.
GHW Bush was the President who was supposed to implement the enforcement measures in the 1986 amnesty that were supposed to prevent another from being necessary.
Instead, he implemented a policy of non-enforcement of both laws and borders that was carried out by his adopted son and his real son and then by the Kenyanesian Usurper.
They tried to prevent US from ever electing a President who WOULD enforce the laws and borders.
Since the last amnesty we have only been allowed to vote for amnesty candidates.
And then they gave US one that was not even eligible to be President.
Until Trump.
His threat to the Bush Plan for North Mexico is why they hate him so much.
It is really an extension of their hatred for US, our freedoms and our sovereignty.
We would not vote for the New World Order in which the USA is subsumed to the UN, so they are importing people who will.

Bush League Republicans must become extinct before the Republic does.

We are already rid of McCain and Flake, Corker, Hatch are quitting.
Rubio, Graham, Murkowski, Hoeven, Alexander, Heller have to be replaced.

It’s their donors that are playing them. But that wouldn’t be politic for Trump to say.
But he knows. We all know.
