Can you brew beer w/o yeast?

Yeast is necessary for beer.

However you do not need to have yeast as an ingredient to beer any more then you need yeast as an ingredient to have raised bread.

The world is full of wild yeasts that are just waiting for you to provide a place for them to live and belch.

Now they do have different flavors so when they got an especially tasty wild yeast they kept some of the batch to use to brew the next bunch.

Yeast + sugar(sweetener) = alcohol. By product is CO2.
