Everyone in the Boston area remember, @nationalgridus has locked out 1,200 gas workers. Look what can happen when they and @MassGovernor ignore cries for public safety. You endanger the lives of citizens and first responders #lawrence #lawrencema #explosion #fire

@nationalgridus @MassGovernor natural gas is not a joke. Look what can happen without experienced workers. If the Boston gas workers Local 12003 weren’t locked out we would be on our way up to help #lawrence #explosion #usw12003 #fire

@MassGovernor Governor Baker do you still think maintaining the gas system is a game? Think twice before you enable @nationalgridus to lock out its workers. GET THE DPU TO DO ITS JOB

The person who is sending those tweets should be investigated. How does he KNOW this has any connection to the strike/lockout/whatever?

He makes statements that seem based on knowledge of what started this awful event.

Anyone who thinks that the union strike has anything to do with this situation is mistaken. I don’t think that the strikers would commit willful murder to get their point across.

Two different companies are involved. National Grid (now UK owned) is on strike. Columbia Gas is the supplier to the affected area.

My father worked for one of the companies that were ultimately absorbed into National Grid. Seven years ago, after he passed away, I had to go to his company’s credit union to settle up a few things. When I spoke to people there about the state of affairs, the workers’ primary concern was that no investment was being made in gas lines that, in some cases, were well over a hundred years old. Leaks were being patched up as cheaply as possible. A lot of these lines were in downtown Boston and in residential areas.

So, you are saying that this is sabotage by the thug gas union members? Very scary.

Sure sounds like union terrorism extortion.
