On her 2:00 p.m. ET hour show on Wednesday, MSNBC anchor Katy Tur predictably exploited Hurricane Florence to push the lefts climate change agenda and condemn deniers in the Trump administration. She brought on liberal environmental activist Bill Nye and ex-Clinton administration official Paul Bledsoe to provide even more alarmist rhetoric.
President Trump says FEMA is ready for Hurricane Florence, but mounting evidence suggests it could incredibly difficult to deal with this disaster if climate change deniers are on the front lines of emergency response, Tur proclaimed at the top of the segment. She then touted a new study echoing the findings of previous research showing climate change as the cause of warmer ocean conditions that produce fast, intensifying storms like Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.
Tur fretted over the White House policy agenda:
But where does the Trump administration stand on climate change? Well, just yesterday, President Trump rolled back Obama-era mandates blocking rogue methane leaks from and oil and gas wells. Last month, the EPA weakened a rule limiting carbon dioxide pollution from coal-fired power plants. And in July, the agency reduced regulations capping greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles. These rules were all part of Obamas three-part strategy for combating climate change.
The host turned first to Nye, who climbed atop his usual climate change soapbox:

I think that the problem here is that the climate change deniers would go there with the intent to actually help people who needed help.
This perplexes the leftists, because they think the primary function of the climate change advocates would be to “raise public awareness”, demand more money and international control over the United States, and political power for themselves.
Helping people? Nah. That’s not even a consideration for the left. But they will blame the harm caused to innocents on others, and if anything naturally good happens, they will take credit for it.
Thank you.
I guess these moonbats never heard of the Spanish galleons that sank of the coast of Florida and throughout the Caribbean centuries ago.
How do these environmentalist wackos think these galleons ended up on the ocean floor? I have a hint for the moonbats....HURRICANES!
Question for “reporters”. ?
Before the printing press and the tv camera ever existed, were there hurricanes?
Were there big bad destructive ‘beyond description’ hurricanes?
Were there combustion engines and coal burning power plants?
Do you people even have a clue?
Camille was a bad one
Cut Ship Island in two
Thanks - yes, the ‘memo’...
There have been worse hurricanes in past centuries.
Got back to BSL two days after it hit. Nasty!
The planet Jupiter has hurricanes too. Explain that you ignorant commie liberal asshat propagandist. Explain that. Is our coal burning warming Jupiter?
You have to be dumb as a rock to be a liberal.
Easy answer - because hurricanes happen...:^)
Continental U.S. hurricane strikes from 1851 to 2009. The data are less reliable before around 1900. The black line indicates the average of 1.7 U.S hurricane strikes per year. Image credit: NOAA/NHC.
Well... .. back in 1852 some of my relatives crossed the Atlantic in September, and they encountered bad a storm, that the captain of the ship told the passengers he had never before seen such a storm. The winds blew the boat back to the coast of Spain. This was told in a memoir of the voyage.
Holy Moly! I checked out the history of the Atlantic storms in 1852 [yes, you can do this], and lo and behold, hurricane no. 4 was indeed tracked off the coast of North America and turning out to sea and dissipating near the Azores.
So, I wonder what caused the hurricane and who the people were who used so many horses and cows that the carbon dioxide level from their farts caused global warming and the development of such a strong hurricane?
Really, I think an investigation is in order.
So the bring in a guy that plays a scientist on TV and a politician?
What is really distressing is that MSNBC gets millions of viewers.
Yeah, right, there were never hurricanes until we started denying the new ice age...errr...anthropogenic global warming...errr...climate change...yeah, climate change, that’s the ticket!
Their beloved computer models say that hurricanes will be worse in a warmer environment. But remember (as their own email communications revealed) they spent a number of years feeding faux data into those models, because the actual data didn't fit their preconceived conclusion.
A Mighty Day (Chad Mitchell Trio)
I remember down in Galveston, When storm winds swept the town, The high tides from the ocean, Lord, Put water all around.
[Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
The winds began to blowin'. The rains began to fall. The lightning shafts were cracklin', Lord, And the thunder started to roll
[Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
The trumpets warned the people, "You'd better leave this place". But they never meant to leave their homes Till death was in their face.
The seas began to rollin'. The ships they could not land, I heard a captain crying, "God, Please save this drowin' man!"
Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
The trains they all were loaded With people leavin' town, The tracks gave way to the ocean, Lord, And the trains they went on down.
The waters like some river They went a-rushin' to and fro I saw my father drownin', Lord, And I watched my mother go
Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
Now death your hands are icy. You've got them on my knee. You took away my mother now. You're comin' after me.
[Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
[Chorus:] Wasn't that a mighty day, (a mighty day) a mighty day (a mighty day) a mighty day, great God that morning When the storm winds swept the town
Dude’s growing boobs and seems rather proud of himself.
Intentional, I suppose? Hell, I can’t tell anymore.
Yeah, I’d say it’s intentional.
He looks like a preteen girl feeling her buds, dreaming of the day she gets her training bra.
