To my knowledge food stamp or ebt card are currently prohibited from purchasing non food items
Just Douche It.
One college dropped Nike already.
Could target the larger schools that use them. Be a big knock if a major college dropped them - and likely BLM would target.
Hopefully someday they will purposely leave trucks open in high-crime areas just to move unsold merch.
Now I am 100% sure that I will never own my first pair of Nikes. I prefer Payless, anyway.
Middle class parents would be nuts to buy their children Nike shoes... or anything else that company puts out.
Nike’s new slogan has a “Zelig” problem. I do not mean to compare Colin Kaepernick or his cause with any of the following, but imagine if instead of Kaepernick’s ugly mug, the photo above the slogan depicted Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Pol Pot, Mohammed Atta, or Osama bin Ladin, etc. Or on the positive side, George Washington and the Founding Fathers of the US. All these people believed in something and sacrificed everything.
The “inspiring” quality Nike’s seeks to imply with its mantra is actually vapid and amoral. Acting on “belief”, not facts, or Truth is what is important, not that those beliefs are “good” or accurate. WHAT you believe and WHO you sacrifice doesn’t matter. Big Brother would be proud.
Who knew we were into football season? There hasn’t been a game on our tv at all this year.
When did a prohibition ever stop anybody?
There are plenty of "convenience" stores that specialize in exchanging food stamps/EBT for cash , 50 cents to the dollar.
LOL, I don’t need a pledge, but I know what you mean. Conservatives remember these things, even if dumb ass leftists don’t.
I don’t buy Coke products. I don’t go to Target or Dicks Sporting Goods, etc.
I will never, ever, ever buy a Nike product ever again. All I need now is the “That Was Easy” button!
Alabama has already cut all ties with them!
The thrift stores will be inundated with Nike gear.
Im really hoping that Dicks Sporting Goods is massively overstocked on Nike!
“The thrift stores will be inundated with Nike gear.”
Our local Good Will Store can be very selective like games that are not electronic are refused.
If they stop accepting Nike, we will have won the battle.
Before all this “stuff” hit the fan, my BFF and I went to the factory Outlet Mall to get shoes. Both of us are middle-aged white ladies with foot problems, and the Factory Outlet mall had over ten shoe stores, some that specialized in shoes for sports, cross-training, hiking etc. It was exactly what we needed.
The first store we entered was Nike. Even though it was a factory outlet, not a single pair were under $100. The aisles were full of “youts” who kept trying on shoes and rejecting them, but not replacing them in the racks. They were strewn all over the floor, and all the seats were taken up. After trying on one or two pair with absolutely no assistance from staff, we gave up and moved on.
We ended up visiting several more stores (Asics, Reebok, Timberline, Bass, Converse, Adidas, etc) and ended up getting superb service, our feet were measured for correct size and width, AAA and Senior discounts were applied, and “Two for One” Bargains in several stores. “D.” got hers at Asics and I got mine at Bass, but we visited other stores as well.
“D” is liberal, and I am conservative, but both of us agreed that we will NEVER go to Nike ever again.
According to the sports media I’ve been reading, Nike made a brilliant marketing move that the NFL was afraid to make.
