Woops! lantirn s/b lantern. I used to work for Northrop Grumman for several years and they had The LANTIRN program there. (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night)so I developed the habit of spelling it with an “i” even referencing a lantern. lol!
I knew some people who used to work on the LANTIRN. Was very high maintenance at the start so the men working on it added to the motto “It turns night day.. and weekends into sh!t.”
