I get up each day and check my phone, you know, emails, text messages, and of course Facebook. That’s where it starts. People who are supposedly my friends are furiously attacking me for my political thoughts or things that I post.
It’s not just mild criticism or logical argument (I wish). Often, it’s downright nasty, offensive, and disturbing. Did you know I was a Nazi? A Fascist? A racist? A Bigot? I’m one of those evil conservatives too. Dare I ever mention the name Trump.

If you disagree with them, you’re the enemy and will be dealt with. You don’t really have to DO anything. Just disagree or have a contrarian position on one of their goals.

That’s a good article. A lot of leftists have made “liberalism” into their religion. To them, following it proves you’re a “good person.” When conservatives or anyone disagree with them, they take it very personally.
I know people who actually believe this, but never about themselves.
You don’t believe their ideology. That’s what you did. Submit or fight. Those are the only two options. Changing their hearts and minds is not possible.
If you don’t agree with them on every single issue and their latest talking points, they attack. They act like we are at war, must have forgot to declare it I guess.
When I asked a Liberal on Fakebook what their problem with POTUS Trump was the response was, “you don’t know?”.
It’s like it’s a given and if you don’t see it you are not to be taken seriously.
They buy everything they are spoon fed. Bring up a Democrat’s shortcomings in response and they’ll have no part of it.
It’s like anything said by someone on their side, like Bill and Hillary’s Clinton’s or Obama’s remarks on stopping Illegal Immigration and they just don’t care. It’s like it never happened.
Good points. The other thing we did was to elect Mr. Trump, which thwarted their implementation of their ideology.

I am treating them like they treat me. If they are civil I am too. If they get nasty I get nastier. I have been treating them this way for a long time. We have taken this crap for 50 + years. It is time to end it. One way or another.
You are a leftist, you care more and you are thus superior. By extension, those who are not leftists are lesser. Their mere existence is an affront because they refuse to accept and acknowledge your superiority. And really, they are causing all the problems in the world, why they are hardly even human at all. We must shout the loathsome scum down, get in their faces, even bloody our knuckles at times. Once we get power we should move to silence them more officially. But it's very hard to just make them quiet unless they are in prison. There's a thought. We could do that but then we'd have to care for them 24/7. Like a shelter full of rabid dogs, why put such expense toward inherently flawed and dangerous critters that can never be safely allowed free anyway? Maybe a single bullet would be so much better for everyone.
That's how they think, some don't realize it fully but leftists will ALL go along with this if they ever get the power to do it.

First, they are not “Liberals” they are Leftists.
Secondly, most Leftists are either cognitively-deficient, morally-deficient, or both.
Thirdly, They are not your friends. If they really call you all these names, then they really do not respect you. Why are you playing the role of the battered-spouse?

You didn’t just hand them your wallet.
To some of the more fanatical liberals, even the fact that a conservative is breathing up oxygen is offensive to them.
So there is no pleasing them, then the next best strategy is to engage them only in bland and very formal manner, either turning aside their tirades with a with a dismissive wave of the hand, a request they “define the terms used”, or ignoring them altogether. Returning shot for shot only drives them to further fury, and resolves exactly nothing.
Only occasionally should a sharp fetch upside the head be called for.
I’ve dumped a few blind raging libs too. I don’t have to put up with blathering, insolent, hatemongers. I literally shook the dust from my feet.

I'm not being facetious. Ever since the rise of Romanticism around 1800, the idea that facts are cold but feelings lead to "Truth" has been part of post-Enlightenment philosophy.
