Outstanding post, and historical perspective. going to research this info. It is certainly cultural. Right up there with William Randolph Hearst damning HEMP in the same category as negro jazz players on marijuana. All because of his paper pulpwood pals monopoly vs. the much cheaper sourced hemp paper from canada and wester US growers. He got it banned. Hemp.

That’s because they’re all driving 5 mph and swerving into one another, laughing all the way.

I don't understand why people are so concerned about the side affects of using either CBD’s or Medical Marijuana. They know well 'all' pain Medications have long lists of 'possible' side affects often detrimental to their health and can be habit forming..... 'Possible' meaning 'they don't know' what can happen if you take them....... Additionally....it's medically proven that the affects of enduring pain rather than take what could relieve it plays 'havoc with the body' in many ways.

Therefore if there's no relief why wouldn't you try something that has little if any side affects? People sure go from one pain med to another hoping something will work!

Further most all medications come from one or a mixture of "plants" to begin with....or do people just think they're designed in a test tube out of thin air?

I can say if I was in unbearable pain or having seizures I'd be finding myself a physician fast who would be open to the use of CBDS and Marijuana...etc.....

LOL....Laughing as ....how many articles are now being published where addicts are ‘blaming’ Doctors for prescribing pain ‘pills’ causing their addictions! Rather than admitting they were looking for the buzz.

......”Yes, legalize it, but keep it out of the hands of minors”......

How's that working for alcohol and prescription drugs? You can only educate kids about such things which is a parents job....but if they want it they will certainly get it. We tell kids to obey speed limits as well....and that 'often' falls on deaf ears.

Have to give some real narcotic history here— from 1930....

“Dreamed a bout a reefer 5 feet long, a mighty mess but not too strong— you’ll be high.. but not for looong... IF YOU a Viper......”

Know your high when your throat gets dry...... go down to the “candy” store and bust your “conk” on “peppermint candy”.

It is a narcotic friends, and not benign (esp. for developing brains up until at least age 25)

“If You’se a Viper”

My problem has always been ... the vegetable smoke with 101 plus poorly identified carcinogens— and increased cancer reality that these bring (usu. peeps smoke cigs as well so... whatever).

It's 'data,' it's not facts. It's statistics. The default position on statistics should be suspicion, if not outright skepticism...no different than "A study shows..."

There's some dubious propositions...underage use has not increased?

RIGHT...
