A Houston woman has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges that she offered to sell her 2-year-old daughter for sex at a cost of $1,200.
Twenty-five-year-old Sarah Marie Peters was sentenced Thursday after earlier pleading guilty to charges that include promotion of prostitution.
Authorities say undercover officers in Montgomery County, north of Houston, encountered Peters online on a social media site. They say she forwarded photos of young girls and asked if there was anyone who wanted “to have fun” with her daughter.
Detectives watched Peters board a bus in Houston with her daughter to travel to Conroe, where she thought she was meeting a man who would pay for the child.
Peters was arrested on Feb. 22. Her daughter was placed in the custody of state Child Protective Services.

I’ve been conned by a dings from Conroe. Went there and that whole town, while it looks nice, is full of bad, bad people. Now a few years ago was that guy who took the hospital at gun point for his kids treatment. That was interesting.

Too bad proper capitol punishment isn’t allowed. This woman should be thrown in a wood chipper.
I guess there are plenty of folks out there that would say the same about where you are from.
Was it a package deal? As in, “If you’ll have sex with me, I’ll give you $1200 and my daughter?”
Oh man, I’m from the Northeast. I say the same thing about where I am from.
But Texas is full of people, surely. And it’s large and diverse. But overall my experiences with Texans from all sections of the state are on par with my experiences with New Yorkers.
And likewise with the “’But’ republicans”. Those who are all for freedom... but... Many in Texas do this, just like in Connecticut.
NY is like a big Austin. There just aren’t good people there doing good things.
