Acosta has been given more chances, by the WH, to clean up his act than a junkie in San Fransisco.
Can’t Acosta do us all a big favor and pour gasoline over his head and read a manifesto about his own majestic greatness and in frustration set fire to himself? It’s been done before but great television optics.
Jim Acosta views himself as a modern-day Sam Donaldson.
Back during Reagan’s presidency, Donaldson liked to badger the President and Press Secretary in a self-important pontificating manner. His questions were usually answered because Donaldson, for all of his hot air and posturing, at least give a modicum of respect to the person he was addressing.

I wonder what Sam is doing nowadays... I know he retired from ABC News 5 years ago. He probably approves of what Acosta is doing.
Didn’t Donaldson have ferret farm or some other tax dodge? Or was that just his hairpiece?
I like this technique. I suggested banning him but this is better as the President gets to cut him off at the knees each conference. Better still, he took a question from Fox, John Roberts, citing CNN is fake news, Fox is real news.
I think this was deliberately done. Trump knows that CNN has higher ratings overseas because it is on TVs in airports. Trump wanted the Brits to get that message!

He substituted for Rush and had on his “former NSA analyst” friend 1 1/2 months before the election to tell the world the ‘Trump is completely owned by the Russians, and if you knew what I knew, you’d realize Trump is a really bad apple.’ John didn’t even counter, but did get his friend to say Hillary had her problems with the Russians, too.
Here, you can see he does not like that Donald gives anyone in the media difficulty. His latent NeverTrumperism is still there.
John Sexton should know he doesn’t substitute for Rush anymore because Rush subscribers like myself wrote in our disgust over him and his dear “friend.”
It reminds me of a scene from Shogun. A priest is brought in to act as translator but before he would talk he (Blackthorn) want it clear that he and the priest were enemies.
In this case CNN is the “translator”. Many in the UK or Europe know that CNN is an enemy of the President.
By calling them “fake news” people are going to want to know why. So in just a few words he opens up a dialog the media does not want opened.
Does Acosta wear a rug too?
The difference is that CNN IS fake news.
Fox actually provides the most balanced coverage - about 50/50 positive negative for both Trump and Obama.
When the left claims Fox is Faux News, they are lying.
When the right claims CNN is the Clinton News Network, they are telling the truth.
How long have we waited to see the media get what it deserves?
Mr. President (God I love calling Donald Trump that), please, this is such a harsh statement . . . . . Wait, never mind. You're probably right.
