Not a “time-clock” position where hours are counted to determine the paycheck. Similar to IT jobs where sometimes you have to work overtime but you don’t get extra pay for it. This is what you agree to when to take on a salaried position. (Me, since 1991)

Correct, if he was a salaried employee than it’s on him for negotiating a better contract over the years. Why didn’t he resign years ago if he was so unhappy? If in fact he was not required to anything beyond his normal duties than this guy’s got bupkis.

Your overtime cannot drop your hourly pay below minimum wage, even if you are salary.

Ha! Yep. Been there done that in Tech. This driver has no idea what overtime means! At Microsoft and Amazon they rarely left the building. People slept in cots at Amazon in Seattle. Microsoft employees printed immense files and snuck home to get some shut eye while it looked as though they were there. All salaried employees. The consultants were the ones that made the cash as they were often hourly.

The drivers a whiner.
