.

Don’t worry, Jeff Sessions will intervene.

When his game of 12d chess is over.

Mueller is a Judge shopper, by and large.

Can you prove that’s it’s not true?

“Manafort is dirty, period....”

Maybe he is dirty, but we’ll never know, because the case against him has been corrupted by political motivations.

Maybe he is dirty, but that’s not why the case against him is being persued so aggressively. It’s his association with Trump - not the facts of the case - that have made him the target of such a relentless investigation.

The principle of equal justice and the obvious taint of a politically motivated witch hunt will eventually cause the charges to be dropped.

No one can survive the level of scrutiny Manafort has been subjected to and eventually he would play get a non leftist judge who will throw the case out.

I can’t remember which Freeper suggested it, but what if Manafort was the spy inside the campaign? Is that why the FBI and Rosenstein are fighting so hard to keep it quiet

What possible reason could there be to avoid naming Manafort at this point? He’s 70 years old. He’d rather go to jail for years? Really?

I would ask to be tried without further delay.

Maybe they are not ready. Remember there are two active investigations. One with the guy from Utah who is working with the OIG on the Russia thing, and the one in Oklahoma on the Clinton Foundation (I think that one is active but not sure)

Huber in Utah is head of a panel of US Attorneys that are making decisions on further investigations of the Clintons and the 2016 election. Their decision-making takes the place of Rosenstein’s, because Rosenstein’s actions are under review.

Any witnesses summoned to Utah or Oklahoma for federal grand jury testimony would be squealing like stuck pigs.

Grand jury may not be in Utah or Oklahoma and it may not be there yet. Let’s face it, we don’t know anything. We can only hope. I’m the oldest idealist in the world and, despite moments of rare defeatism, I still believe in justice. Note I did not say Department of Justice, just pure, raw justice.

“When push comes to shove, they all wimp out.”

That’s why I’m expecting disappointment with the Union Dues SCOTUS ruling this week. The big decisions seem to go for the other team.

He further heartened Mueller’s critics by demanding an unredacted copy of the August 2017 memo from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein detailing the scope of Mueller’s mandate. But he was apparently satisfied by the memo, and declined to dismiss the case.

None of those commenting here have read the memo; the judge has. It apparently changed his mind which I find compelling.

Mueller isn’t gonna try to lay Manafort’s actions at the feet of President Trump, Mueller thinks with enough pressure on Manafort he will give up something Mueller can use against Trump.
Mueller has nothing, he grasping at straws.

What’s the point of a SoL if they may be waved? Hmm, “SoL” - yeah, in more ways than one.

I believe Manafort was an asset of Russians. Think about it. He owes a Russian gangster tens of millions while being broke. Then he approaches Trump and offers to work for free while promises said gangster private briefings.

Then when this stupid Trump Tower meeting with that Russian spy woman comes Manafort is the adult in the room who should know this meeting request is likely a trap and must be declined, but doesn’t advise so. I believe Kushner and Don Jr. didn’t know better, but Manafort certainly knew how much trouble this will cause.

Then there is the date when Manafort was fired by Trump - exactly one day after Trump received his first classified intelligence briefing.

Could work both ways. A Russian asset or an FBI asset for the same reasons
