One of the best things to remember is the 2016 Illinois Republican primary. A giant Trump rally was scheduled in Chicago with about 30,000 people likely to attend. It looked like DemonRat terrorists, egged on my Rahm Emanuel and the Witch, might violently disrupt it and cause a lot of injuries. Candidate Trump called off the rally, citing the risk of serious violence. Illinois Republican voters were infuriated and retaliated by giving him am massive victory. We’re headed for the same kind of victory in 2018 as long as we keep our cool.
Another comes to mind, the Dems' outrageous behavior at Paul Wellstone memorial in 2002.
Voters were turned off by the childish and hysterical anti-GOP behavior (nasty, name-calling inciteful politics at a memorial service), and this presented the Minnesota (and every state) voters with a very nice contrast in what is becoming and responsible behavior.
