Trump Administration says it knows location of all children

Trump administration officials say the U.S. government knows the location of all children in its custody after separating them from their families at the border and is working to reunite them.

A fact sheet on “zero-tolerance prosecution and family reunification” released Saturday night by the Department of Homeland Security also says a parent must request that their child be deported with them. In the past, the agency says, many parents have elected to be deported without their children. {snip}

The fact sheet states that ICE has implemented an identification mechanism to ensure on-going tracking of linked family members throughout the detention and removal process; designated detention locations for separated parents and will enhance current processes to ensure communication with children in HHS custody; worked closely with foreign consulates to ensure that travel documents are issued for both the parent and child at time of removal; and coordinated with HHS for the reuniting of the child prior to the parents’ departure from the U.S.

making this a two-fer, here's a related article that describes the process one relative went thru. Long story short, it's no longer as simple as just 'flying down and picking up the child' as was allowed under the Obama admin. HHS is being very thorough about the safety of the child but already has the sponsor home/background check process down to about 30-45 days, which, in spite of the article's negative tone, seems pretty darn fast. HHS has also arranged regular phone calls during that time. No telling what the cost per child is. But here's the extra reading:

Badly need to tax Western Union remittances to pay for all the lodging and Glenn Beck teddy bears, soccer balls etc.

Say, 50 percent.

How about 99% for anything going south of the border. After all it’s for the children

Under the President’s leadership, much of the incompetency and dishonesty that permeated the U.S. government during Obama’s years has been fixed. The responsible agencies have handled the mess at the border remarkably well under existing legal constraints. What President Trump has accomplished in recovering our government’s capabilities is truly astonishing.

I'd never really thought of it before but probably many people bring their kids with them to the border and maybe even let themselves be caught so that their children will be taken better care of than the parents can provide.

Deport them all. Immediately.

Put the military on the border and don’t let anyone cross.

Trump added a 5% fee when he was sworn in.

I also think that 50% is more useful.
