These verbal attacks resemble the process of dehumanizing political opponents through out history. The process ends in physical violence. Not the occasional shooting of a US Rep at baseball practice or the breaking of ribs of a Senator while mowing grass but a systematic targeting and eradication of political opponents. The widespread ownership of personal firearms and the fact that the President's administration is protected by professionals whose loyalty is to the country and not their politically appointed leadership has maintained a degree of stability. The democrat party has become so radicalized that if they get control of the government like they did in 2008 all bets are off.
