I have to say it was disappointing to see the President at the rally claiming the wall has been started. He touted 1.6 billion that had been used to fund it.
What has gone up so far is NOT THE WALL. Until one of them prototypes is built across that border, there is no wall as was promised.
The loudest chants at that rally were for the wall - it needs to be built NOW.
You are exactly right. It is a stretch by any standard. Trump signed the omnibus bill that expressly prohibited new wall. It allowed only repairs. It was a total disaster. But he has promised unequivocally to close down the government in September if he doesn’t get all the wall. He is on tape!! Even though that is before the midterm. We don’t care. The wall is now over due and we won’t tolerate any further delay. We voted for the wall. We won . We want our wall,. Not “border security” nonsense!! We want a big beautiful giant physical wall. The omnibus bill should never have been signed. Never.
