If you have been faithful to true Catholicism and the fraudsters have not, then you should stay and they should leave.

Why leave? Why not stand and defend the faith? Have you never considered the significance of the phrase "Church Militant"?

May the Lord find us at our posts and faithful.

Left the Church? What Church? The Church is gone. There’s nothing to “leave”. My beliefs haven’t changed. But the Church no longer supports those beliefs.

I’m glad I’m not Catholic.

This Pope or any Pope would consider you, as a Baptist, to be a Christian.

I help teach people from other faiths wanting to become full members of the Catholic Church. All of my RCIA students who are already baptized in the Name of the Trinity in any church, Baptist, Lutheran, Church of God in Christ, whatever --- are recognized as being already Christians, and --- in the incipient sense --- already Catholics.

For instance, my husband, who was baptized in the Baptist church, was recognized as being fully able to receive a Catholic sacrament, namely Matrimony.

The Catechism says:

Paragraph # 838 "Those who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in a certain, although imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church."

The Children of Fatima stated that the final apostasy would start at the top, that the conflict would be around marriage, and that this Great Apostasy would be one of the signs of the End.

OK--- but when would you say he became the "former" pope? And who would you say is the Pope now: Benedict? Or do we have an empty sede on our hands?

Great answer. The best way to defend Catholicism is to live Catholicism.

It is untrue that the Church is "gone." There are still billions of us, counting from AD 33 to the end of time. Temember the "church Militant," the "Church Suffering" and the "Church Triumphant"?

Our Lord said the "Gates of Hell" would not prevail over His Church.

If you still believe in Him, you have to believe in that.

"Cut and run" is not a winning strategy.

Come back and be with us, the remnant.

You write as if "The Pope" = "The Church."

The defection of a bad Pope does not mean the invalidation of all of Catholicism. Buck up and be Catholic --- even if the pope is not.

The Pope grew up in a Soialist country and he thinks like a socialist. I understand he wants a perfect world but life isn’t perfect. There will come a day when the Pope as well as the EU learns, if you allow snakes into your home the deadly ones will kill you.

Ah ha.

Thanks for your description of canon law (I presume that’s what you mean) but I do remember a statement from some Catholic authority claiming Protestants were not “real” Christians (in the eyes of the church.)

I'd appreciate it if you could get me the exact quite, so I could comment on it accurately.

It can be more than a little confusing. Any baptized Christian is considered to have joined himself to the Church "in a sense." For instance any baptized Christian could receive the Sacrament of Matrimony and be considered in a "Catholic Marriage", by marrying a Catholic in the Church.

Under extreme circumstances (immediate danger of death) I understand that any baptized person who professes a Catholic faith in these sacraments, could receive the Last Rites, including Confession, Communion and Anointing. I'm talking about true and immediate emergency.

These has been controversy about all this recently, because some of the Liberal/Modernist faction within the Church (e.g. certain loosey-goosey German Bishops) have proposed admitting Protestants to Catholic Communion if they are married to Catholics.

However, this can't be lawfully permitted because Marriage-to-a-Catholic is not a life-threatening emergency.

Ordinarily. :o/

I read a lot and I did read that he is. It makes sense. Bless his heart. He is leading so many astray. It is very hard to believe anything he says.
