In 2015, Sen. John McCain introduced a resolution to implement President Donald Trump’s zero tolerance immigration policy to charge every migrant caught entering the country illegally. McCain’s legislation did not give any exemption for children and would have created the exact, same mess we’re in today:

Smoking out the liberals, one by one!

Good Riddance, Steve Schmidt!!

He can join the ranks of Arlen Specter, Jim Jeffords, Lincoln Chafee, Charlie Crist, etc.

I have to defend McCain. If the children are charged... they can then be housed with Mom and Dad.

Current law doesn’t allow them to be charged... thus separation.

McCain and Schmidt probably didn’t mean for the law to actually pass... but whatever.

Yeah buddy, sounds like Trump lost a real true-blue supporter here. Really, seems like the media is writing a "Republican strategist Steve Schmidt says Trump sucks on X" article every other week.

I saw the first few opening minutes on Morning Joe with Mika doing her dramatic angry weeping act.

She starts out with ‘Long-time Republican leader Steve Schmidt resigns from the GOP over Trump's family separation policy, WOW’ she says with fake tears.

Then plays a clip of Trump explaining it.

Instead of addressing Trump's points she goes back the Steve
Schmidt well for more drama.

Schmidt is just another MSNBC fake Republican put on for drama. He always sides withDems.

Republican leader my ass!

Since I have considered this guy a Sunni Muslim ISIS operative for years, I’m thrilled to know he has nothing good to say about President Trump.

November 5, 2016: Steve Schmidt: Time For Trump Campaign To Prepare Concession Speech

Chief strategist to the John McCain 2008 presidential campaign and current MSNBC contributor Steve Schmidt advised the Trump campaign to focus on writing a "dignified" concession speech for "Madam President-Elect Hillary Clinton."

The plant is ‘leaving’ the GOP - saying it’s because children have a comfortable bed, meals, and safety. Hah!

Schmidt was the original infiltrator.
He discovered he could make lots of $$$ by playing both sides of the fence.
He probably sabotaged 6-10 Republican races by giving them bad advice, knowing it would make them vulnerable.

He is gone because everyone is on to his plan...except the Bush Family

The title is very misleading. Schmidt is leaving because of Trump, pure and simple.

I assume Schmidt will be fully embracing the abortion worship of his new party.

Here’s a thought.

Sessions has been largely a Deep State operative in the Mueller witch hunt. Many including me believe that he should go.
Now, I agree with Sessions that he should follow the law with respect to illegals and border enforcement. However, the globalist media has gone on the attack with the BS separation of children meme.
Trump could fire Sessions over this and make him the fall guy. Who would oppose him? He could bring someone else in for 2 reasons. He could say that the new AG would review policy implementation. Moreover , the Dems have called for Trump to use his “pen” well this would be it, But really the new AG could shut down the rosenrat and Mueller as well as get all the documents wanted by Congress on the frame up.

Now, does Trump have a recess appointment window?

"Republican leader my ass!"

That's what Willie Geist called him as well.

Do these people really believe what comes out of their own mouths?

Schmidt is nothing more than a $2 political whore who would sell himself to the highest bidder. He just happened to wear the (R) jersey of the Uniparty/Deep State/Globalist team. See how easily he switched over to the RATS?

Good riddance.
