When they put reassigned him to HR several months ago, I was gobsmacked. I’ve worked HR, and maximum damage can be done from within that office. And maximum info can be gleaned from personnel files, and we know how adept they are blackmailing people.

Incredible that they would put him THERE, of all places. (Or... that was the plan. Harvest as much dirt as possible to further their cause.)

He was put there to wait until the time he was fired. First, they(prosecutors) had to get out of him whatever testimony he had to give. Timing is everything.
