The FBI is determined to not repeat any of the mistakes identified in a harshly critical watchdog report on the handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, Director Chris Wray said Monday at a congressional hearing at which he repeatedly sought to distance himself from his predecessor.

Wray told lawmakers that the FBI accepted the findings of the inspector general’s report and has begun making changes, including about how it handles especially sensitive investigations. The FBI is also reinforcing through employee training the need to avoid the appearance of political bias, a key point of criticism in last week’s report, and has referred employees singled out by the watchdog to the agency’s investigative arm for possible discipline.

The report “makes clear that we have significant work to do, and as I said, we’re going to learn from the report and be better as a result,” Wray said, even as Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee pounced on its findings to allege rampant bias within the FBI.

The department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, appeared alongside Wray and repeated the report’s central conclusions that the Clinton investigation was plagued by leadership missteps though its outcome was not tainted by political bias.

This makes me so angry. It wasn't "political bias." It was an attempted coup d'etat. The FBI attempted to politically "assassinate" Donald Trump. The FBI attempted to overturn our Constitutional Republic. The FBI attempted to nullify our ability to vote, your vote and my vote.

The FBI committed sedition and high crimes.

The solution is not more "Bias Training." The only solution is prosecution, conviction, long prison sentences - and if the law and courts find it applicable - capital punishment for Treason per 18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason.

Of course. The only way to address the extreme biases we all saw in that report and in those texts and emails is to:

1. Fire those involved - to send a message.
2. Change the hiring practices at the FBI and CIA
-no more ‘recruiting’ from specific colleges and universities
-no selection based upon political affiliation (unless associated with subversive groups.
-hiring should be decided by groups of people representing multiple levels in the agency, not by specific supervisors.
3. Have strict regular oversight of the agency from outside the agency

There are over 20 years of DOJ OIG reports on their own government web site. It’s not hard to find reports on illegalities in those reports that conclude with, “Prosecution was declined.”

These people have been giving each other passes for decades. Sessions and Wray show no inclination to do what needs to be done, and Congress long ago gave up disciplining bureaucracies by cutting their budget.

Looks like Horowitz and Wray are hoping the American people are as stupid as expressed by the FBI attorney whose text messages were read by Senator Kennedy in the IG hearing yesterday.
