Trump doubles down on family separation policy
The Hill ^ | 06/18/18 | Jordan Fabian

President Trump on Monday doubled down on his controversial policy of separating children from parents when families illegally cross the border, while also calling on Congress to change laws to end it.

In a series of tweets, Trump appeared to justify the strategy by claiming criminals are using children in a Trojan horse–style operation to cross the U.S. border.

“Children are being used by some of the worst criminals on earth as a means to enter our country,” he wrote. “Has anyone been looking at the Crime taking place south of the border. It is historic, with some countries the most dangerous places in the world. Not going to happen in the U.S.

Trump also warned that the U.S. must avoid the migration problems affecting Europe and blasted the policies and government of Germany, a close ally.

The president falsely claimed that crime in Germany is “is way up” and said migrants “have so strongly and violently changed their culture,” a phenomenon he said is generating backlash overseas.

The LA Times is covered with this crap today. They barely made room for the World Cup.

And yet no propaganda was issued ever against Obama for this evil Separation Gate. How long was he President? 8 years? Wake up, Gullibles. You’re being had again by those who wish to control you. Stop making it so easy for them.

Liberals on social media are claiming that Trump is following his own law and there is no Clinton/Bush law that separates children from the parents of illegals. It must be the talking points of the liberals and Snopes is also refuting that there is such a law. Anyone here know the difference or truth?

BBC said today that crime is way down , LOL

I haven't read the BBC article but I can now understand "liberalspeak"

Overall crime may be down but crime committed by "immigrants" is way up.

This is the manner antigunners talk of Europe's gun crimes. The say gun related crimes are down compared to America's but what they don't say is crime in general has skyrocketed. Murder, robberies, home invasions, burglaries, rape.

Yesterday there was an article someone found from during the Obama admin, not trying to hit Obama with the Cruel Separation, but describing how it works. I wish I knew what the title was.

Footnote...Go to President Trump's tweets.

He published some great photos of him with Merkel at the G7.

The nasty looking one that the media posted is their usual dirty work.

If the parents of these children ask for asylum, then, by a 1997 law, the children are separated from the parents after 20 days; because, BY THAT LAW, U.S. authorities CANNOT hold minors in detention more than 20 days.

Don’t think for a moment that the media a$$holes are unaware of this.

“his controversial policy”
“calling on Congress to change laws”

Oh my. There is a HUGE difference between ‘policy’ and ‘law’.

President Trump can change ‘policy’ by orders and directives.

President Trump can NOT change ‘law’ by himself.

‘The Hill’, a boatload of swamp denizens, proxies, or frequenters, contradicts themselves in their above quoted statement.

So, to ‘The Hill’ which is it? Policy or Law?

Answer: Law.

Reminds me of a story from a young Marine NCO stationed outside of Falujah when it was cordoned off. He was manning a check point and up walks a man with two children, the terp mentioned that the children were not the man’s and protocol for some reason sent the man and the two kids back into the city. How did the man come up with two kids to try and get out I have no idea. But it haunts that Marine to this day.

It’s too bad the left is such vermin they would do the same to tweak the nice white lady conservatives and abuse Melania like that troll Kathy Griffith using her anti-social media Twitter account

I can't keep up with the stories being posted on The Hill regarding this topic.

Democrats are positioning to make this a major midterm issue.

Trump and Republicans need to tread carefully.

I don’t care about this issue at all. Do the crime, and all that!

Keep your kids at home and don’t take them on criminal enterprises with you and this won’t happen.

Americans are separated from their kids every single day when they commit crimes. Illegals are special in this!

“If the parents of these children ask for asylum, then, ...BY THAT LAW, U.S. authorities CANNOT hold minors in detention more than 20 days.”

I think that was a consent decree with a judge, rather than a law.

One possible approach, is to give families with children priority for having their asylum denied - put them to the front of the line, with a proven hanging judge, who will put them on the express train to deportation.

It's working too. Facebook is dripping with their tears.
