McALLEN, Texas (AP) — Inside an old warehouse in South Texas, hundreds of children wait in a series of cages created by metal fencing. One cage had 20 children inside. Scattered about are bottles of water, bags of chips and large foil sheets intended to serve as blankets.

...it’s nauseating watching Democrats pontificating about this......

Beto O’Rourke is particularly disgusting....he acts like a vicious pit bull w/ a child in his teeth and wont let go.

I have a solution no one will like.

The first part will be telling Mexico to stop illegal immigration to the U.S. from their side of the border, or else.

I think they think I’d be bluffing and they’d do nothing.

So I would ivade all of northern Mexico along a 10 mile wide stretch and stop illegals from even getting to U.S. territory. With them not having arrived on U.S. territory, there would be no legal immigration procedures preventing us from just turning them around.

Mexico won’t like it, but they could change it if they wanted to - with internal controls preventing illegals from gettting to the U.S. border.

It would end the issues at our southern border, and leave it to Mexico to either live with what we were doing or fix it themselves.

Radical solution? Yes, but its to a radical problem.

I’m sorry. But, bus them back to Mexico. They are not allowed to enter this country. Period.

“I would invade all of northern Mexico along a 10 mile wide stretch”.

There are a bunch of sprawling cities in that first ten miles; Matamoros, Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo, Juarez, Nogales, Mexicali, Tijuana.

If you take them, you get millions of people, and a huge bill to modernize them.

It’s very unfair of their parents to put them in that situation. And I’m not being tongue in cheek.

“Why are these “children” here? Have they no parents?”

It is a mix of reasons, that makes it harder to sort out.

Some lie about their age to get through, some are used as props to get unrelated adults through. Some are the actual cargo of human traffickers, who put them into slave-like work conditions or prostitution, or use them as drug mules.

Also, courts have ordered that you can’t keep kids in detention, so if you can’t deport, you have to either separate the kids, or release the adults.

As these loopholes have been created and advertised (Obama’s biggest accomplishment), the number of children in the illegal immigrant flow has skyrocketed - unaccompanied, accompanied by their parents, or accompanied by other than parents (increasingly pretending to be parents).

We need to get a counter-narrative out there, about how immigrant children are being exploited by unscrupulous adults - gangs, drug cartels, pedophiles and Democrats.

. . . suddenly in the last few weeks, the AP and other journalists suddenly find the need to write these articles, conveniently right when their Democratic Party pals are trying to make an issue of it.

They are really pushing the agenda. From sidebars at the article:
"Trump digs in on immigration amid family separation crisis"
and
"Immigrant kids seen held in fenced cages at border facility an hour ago"

Look how big the "kids" are - they are making it sound like there are toddlers in there.

I’l run my military potrol lines as far on the edge of those towns northern borders, but still within Mexico. Those towns themselves will make “keeping the illegals to Mexico” easier - sentry points just direct folks back into town.

The USA should fortify the Border immediately, with the US Military, halting ALL immigration--i.e. halting this invasion.

I said when The President declared he would put the military on the border that it would be a farce unless he declared martial law on the border and enforced a real border that it wouldn't matter one whit and it hasn't.

I once saw a show where Bay Buchanan, Pat’s sister said “I process everything as politics, my brain filters by politics.” I had a sudden inspiration that this is what I’ve done since I was 6 years old watching TV, fascinated by the coverage of the 1952 national conventions. A political science degree and reading thousands of books hasn’t changed that.

My point is that I see this as a Dem election ploy for votes in conjunction with the leftist media propaganda outlets.

They will sob and wail about these pawn children just like the phony “survivors” of Parkland. They were in phony tears over the “homeless” under W Bush, remember? Move in the next jerky victims to utilize, then toss them to the curb later.

I wish I could care but I want this political advantage to end NOW. Get the pawn children out of this country.

We cannot let the Dems have a sentimental advertising ploy and get away with it.

Yours is the best post on this.

Get the stupid pawns out of our country. Let them live in their country, or in Mexico. Love that leftist Third World so much? Go there.

Absolutely! This is entirely FAKE, FAKE FAKE!! All these liberal/communist/media conglomerates ever do is gin up crap exactly like this — issue after issue. All of a sudden, we have children in cages. . . as if they appeared out of nowhere. This is a ginned up racist-bating ploy, straight out of the playbooks, staged for all the media to exploit and feed to the bleeding heart handwringing masses.

Here’s an idea — reunite them with their parents — on a bus, back to their countries. How about NO ONE gets in, unless they come in legally!!

In San Diego, Tijuana (that's the one on the right) buts up along the border fence for 15 miles. That's how it is typically, one big urban area with a fence down the middle (in Texas, its a shallow river).

I don’t care if it means occupying a swath of territory dividing a Mexican city, with military chekpoints at every intersection along the route - I’d do it. For those cities I’d have the wall all along the U.S. side with only U.S. checkpoints for any legal traffic between the two. And I’d move those U.S. checkpoints onto Mexican territory, until Mexico agrees to man them to stop illegals themselves.

Mexico lacks the capability to control things effectively, even if they wanted to (they don’t). Drug cartels have executed something like 15 candidates for office so far this election season.

It is typically not long before a new policeman, mayor, or border guard gets offered “plata o plomo” (silver or lead) - take the bribe or take a bullet. In border cities like Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa, you can hear firefights fairly routinely, including automatic weapons.

Going into Mexico is harder and more expensive than it would be for us to build solid barrier in the cities; with patrol road, lights, cameras and sensors (alarms).

If Trump gets nothing more for the wall than $1.6 billion per year for the next two years (about the worst case, unless Dems take the house), then he will pretty much button up the urban areas on the border, where the biggest flows are now, during his first term. That would be about 100 miles of high-end urban barrier, with patrol road, lights, cameras and sensors, or 150 (or more, depending on terrain) miles of strong rural barrier with patrol road and sensors.

The last funding bill for FY18, is going to do two solid layers for all of San Diego (14 miles x 2 layers), 20 miles on the West flank of El Paso, and 33 miles to close off McAllen (where the highest traffic is today). I would guess that next year they will do Laredo and El Paso, and more. After those two cities, the rest of the border is smaller cities like Eagle Pass (Piedras Negras), Nogales and Yuma. Higher priority rural segments (which are cheaper) like Eastern Arizona, might start next year, but likely in 2020.

If that is “all” that Trump accomplishes, it will very strongly improve the Border Patrol’s ability to control the border. If however, President Trump is re-elected, with $1.6 billion per year through his second term, or if he can make a deal for for more up front funding, then all of the urbanized areas, and long stretches of the rural border, will be strongly controlled with infrastructure (barrier, roads and sensors).

Cut the HEAD off of the snake!

It's not like the whereabouts of drug dealers live is unknown!
