I loved Kellyanne saying, "Nobody likes seeing a child being ripped from its Mother's arms - or its Mother's womb, frankly....."

Slapped them right back with their fake outrage. The only reason they "care" about the kids is because if they stop coming because of their kids, they won't be here to vote Democrat...

Or the whole family can be sent back.

Trump accidentally created the parent-child separation issue.

Remember the “Mexico Refugee Caravan” back in May 2018?

Remember when the USCIS executive admitted that 75% of the Caravan would get “Catch and Release” if they figured out how to get across the border?

Remember when Trump suddenly rebuked DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen about one month ago because of alleged lax border enforcement?

Remember when Trump suddenly ordered Jeff Sessions to arrest and detain every person who illegally crossed the border, about one month ago?

Bottom Line - Until one month ago, Trump’s border policy was “Catch and Release.”

Catch and Release means that illegal border jumpers who do not have outstanding warrants or gang affiliation are issued a misdemeanor citation, a court date, and then they are set free to go any place they want to in America.

Obviously, most of them never show up for court.

Trump suddenly decided that his Catch and Release policy might be a bad idea politically for the GOP in the mid-term elections, so he stopped it.

One Problem - USA law does not allow immigrant children to be held in a prison setting, which is where their parents are being held.

Thus, USA law requires one of two solutions.

(1) Children and parents must be separated.

(2) Or, the entire family can be waved through under Catch and Release.

This ‘asylum’ crap is easy. Apply it the way the statute was written. Not for fear of gangs or domestic abuse. Just deny all the feel good reasons that the Democrats instituted in the first place. That way they’re turned around and sent home, with their kids, immediately.
I really wish that common sense prevailed again.

Re: “Or the whole family can be sent back.”

Unfortunately, once they set foot on American territory, they gain a number of legal rights.

To be clear, my little essay was about families who try to sneak across the border in between entry stations.

Legally, Border Patrol cannot just shove women and children back onto Mexico’s territory. Once on USA territory, they must be taken to a processing center where their health and well being are evaluated.

They can also make a claim for asylum, which, in about 90% of cases, means they get a court hearing (as much as 6 months delay), and they get temporary work visas and government benefits until their case is heard.

In my opinion, going into the November election, I think Trump planned to brag about ending “Catch and Release.”

No one, including me, anticipated that the Democrats and the MSM would just flagrantly lie about the family separation issue, and, so far, they are getting away with it!
