I sometimes have to use a walker when out in public. Additionally, even when not using the walker, I look very old. Younger people are always stopping and asking me if I need help.

It helps my spirit that there are still those in the world who look to help others.

I was out with my mom - she was 94 at the time. Could still get around without a cane, and smart as a whip with a better memory than mine.

I felt bad for her as the cashiers, etc. would talk to her almost like a little child while explaining something or asking if she wanted help with her cart or whatever.

I asked her if that bothered her. “Oh - heavens no! I’m just glad that they are being nice to an old lady like me!”

The world is still a beautiful place with some outstanding people. On a lighter note. Always nice to have a man around when the batteries die. lol.
