Michael Cohen suggests he is open to cooperating with federal investigators

President Trump’s fixer and former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has told those close to him that he is open to cooperating with federal investigators.

A source familiar with the matter told CNN Cohen has grown frustrated over the treatment he’s received from the President — who has gone out of his way to distance himself from his ex-lawyer since the FBI raided his home, Manhattan office and hotel room in April.

Federal agents seized more than a dozen electronic devices and several boxes of documents for their criminal investigation into Cohen’s personal financial dealings, including a $130,000 hush-money payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the presidential election.

"Or I could ask myself, If I was in Cohen’s position, what would I do? Do you think I want to sit in prison for the rest of my precious life?"

Well, you're not in Cohen's position, so you have no idea what he's feeling. And having worked for 25 years in NY State's prison system, life ain't that bad for convicted felons. And since this is Federal prison we're talking about, it sure can't be any worse.

Try trusting President Trump instead of having knee jerk reactions to anonymous sourced stories.

LOL.

Cohen is playing these media clowns.

Trump didn’t do anything. So yeah, he’ll cooperate.

Seems like you should offer that advice to Cohen, and not me.

I was curious about Trump’s strategy to distance himself. I understand his lawyers probably said to do that, but that would have the alternative problem of alienating him. There’s no doubt they are squeezing him like they did with Manafort and Flynn, and in order to protect himself and his family, he feels like he has to cooperate. They want him to say something (even if it’s not true) on to get Trump. He’s just a small fish.

Well, considering how Trump stands up for people, I’d be cutting a deal, myself.

Source familiar(maybe he saw him on the tv) is guaranteed fake news.

Remember when Cohen, out of the blue, said he made the payment. Which put him on Mueller’s radar. Still havent figured that one out.

It is so amazing how allegedly I telling (at least that’s what I used to think) folks here at FR will instantaneously believe anything printed by any media source.

My only question for these week kneed sissy’s is what is it that Cohen would “flip” on? He’s admitted to paying off the hooker and the only other thing I ever read was he MADE contact with some foreign country AFTER the election about the sanctions against Russia.

Where is the crime....where?

So you think the president should intervene before the elections to interrupt the prosecution of unrelated criminal actions?

So what if he “says something” that something still must be proven. The crap about indicted people making up stuff is just that, crap because it winds up being useless.

If Manafort and Cohen have committed crimes that have nothing to do with Trump, why should he pardon them ?

What did the pardons he gave D’Souza and Alice Johnson have to do with Trump?

Yes. Yes I do.

He needs to nip this in the bud. And at the same time, he should - as he is doing - increase the pressure on Comey and Mueller.

The video I watched provided upbeat info on the economy, jobs, the application of tariffs, much better border security, having cut 22 Federal regulations which has helped increase the GDP, the fact that our country has more respect in the world now, North Korea isn't lobbing missiles across Japan, or threatening Guam with extinction, and they've pledged to help repatriate the bodies of our dead soldiers from the Korean War.

I heard from the President that he didn't agree with the IG's report, and that he believed that political bias played a huge role in the way the FBI conducted it's Clinton email investigation. I also heard the President say, as he has said all along, that there would be no immigration Bill without the wall, and that the separation of families who come here was actually instituted by the Democrats in the laws they passed. It's their doing, and Congress should pass new legislation to get rid of it.

He called the Mueller team "13 Angry Democrats" with no Republicans represented at all in the mix which is totally unfair.

He said the text messages about his supporters were very vicious, and praised the people who back him and his policies. "They're incredible, they work hard, they pay taxes...they are loyal." He even said he had the FBI, because if you went in and took a poll of the people who work there..."not the scum on top"...but the people who actually do the work, that he'd get high numbers. Stated he doesn't know why Strzok is still working at the FBI, but when it comes to the DOJ, he said he has stated in the past that he wasn't going to get involved, but that at some point he may have to get involved, especially when it comes to Congress getting the documents they need.

That's a far cry from whining.

Is there any other video or article that you'd like me to provide a brief synopsis for? Next time it will cost you.

"Seems like you should offer that advice to Cohen, and not me."

Seems like you're the one who brought the subject up, not Cohen, so I figured I'd educate you on it.

True, but Manafort and Cohen’s possible criminal activity, unrelated to Trump are causing problems for Trump.

D’Souza and Alice Johnson are not.

So Trump should be ignore these guys. Leave them to their own devices. And hope that they are not a catalyst for the Democrats to go after bigger fish. Including Trump himself. And you know that’s going to happen.

I’m just arguing that now is the time for Trump to put his foot down. When this crap is in the early stages.

"A source familiar with the matter told CNN"

This likely "source" is another CNN reporter offering their opinion.

These two are up on charges unrelated to the Trump Campaign, if he pardons them now on unrelated crimes - it will make Trump look scared and guilty and there will be a move to impeach him.

It’s sad to note that although the Democrat party has an abundance of gullible fools who take everything that’s said by their leaders and the media as gospel, our side has quite a few of them too. Can’t think for themselves, but rely on what is spoon-fed them by the press, and actually believe it, and then go off half-cocked in knee-jerk reactions, thus performing exactly as the lame stream media wanted them to. Useful idiots.
