Former President Bill Clinton was “offended” by the widespread criticism of his June 2016 tarmac meeting with then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch days before the FBI decided it would not recommend criminal charges against his wife, he told the Justice Department’s inspector general.
“I thought you know, I don’t know whether I’m more offended that they think I’m crooked or that they think I’m stupid,” Clinton told investigators, according to the report released Thursday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
The long-awaited report was released Thursday afternoon, spanning nearly 600 pages and scrutinizing the actions of numerous figures who played a key role in the Justice Department and FBI's investigation. It is the product of an 18-month review, incorporating dozens of witness interviews and hundreds of thousands of documents.
In the report, Horowitz criticized Lynch’s infamous meeting with Clinton on the Arizona tarmac, calling it “an error in judgment" as the Justice Department was investigating then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for her email practices while serving as secretary of state.

The reporter that was tipped off about the tarmac meeting claims it was the on scene FBI agents that told him he couldn’t take pictures. They were there as Lynch’s guards. That Comey was shocked and outraged the meeting took place was ridiculous from the start, the only real outrage is that the meeting was reported to the public. I kind of suspect Clinton’s Secret Service detail as the tippers...

Their story, and they are sticking to it, is that this was a chance meeting, they both just happened to be there.
Dan Bongino, who is a former Secret Service agent whose job was to coordinate travel plans and security for the presidential trips, said there was ZERO-POINT-ZERO chance that was a random encounter between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch.
Part of the Secret Service's job is "deescalation" which is the practice of coordinating with other legally armed protection services (In his case, the Secret Service, and in Lynch's case, the armed FBI agents providing her security.) They do this everywhere they go including and especially overseas, so "blue-on-blue" incidents don't occur by accident between armed protection parties.
He said that all would have been known in advance, not set up on the fly at a "random" encounter.

The fact that Clinton actually thinks that people don't consider him crooked is proof positive that he is stupid. But after seeing some of his drooling slack jawed expressions caught in photos during Canckles 2016 campaign, I might give him the benefit of the doubt in that he has dimentia.
