Oh it gets better, you can peel the skin off really easy after you cut it into 1/4's. it avoids scooping out the flesh of the avocado and scraping against the skin. Try it !

If I didn't have my tool, I would; however, the tool does it all AND slices it to boot. :-)

There are now tools that even have a part that will cut open the avocado, now, so that there's no need for a knife at all. But since mine is still as good as it was when I bought it.
