Nobody knew. None of us saw it. Among his biggest supporters, maybe a handful suspected it. Many of us expected the economic renewal of the U.S. to happen. Many of us foresaw a significant roll back of Saint Barack's horrid, destructive agenda. A lot of us hoped for a major push back on the left.
All of which we have gotten.
None of us, no one I have read, no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy. No one expected him to reshape the world. Yet Donald Trump, in a short time, is doing so.
That was supposed to be one of the reasons to vote against him. He had no foreign policy experience. He did not understand the world. He was going to lead us into wars. He would be taken advantage of by our enemies. He would ruin our alliances. He would be a rube. A bumpkin. An embarrassment. That was what we were told.
Well. Guess what, NeverTrumps! You were so wrong, desperately wrong. Your shame should be bottomless. Bill Kristol, Max Boot, all of you stand up and please voluntarily go into the stocks and throw rotten veggies at yourselves. You should be ashamed to speak. Yep, the entire left-leaning foreign policy establishment as well. All of you.

“I earnestly pray that he is getting and accepting divine guidance”
there’s no doubt in my mind that divine providence is at play with both the election and success of President Trump ... and our country desperately needed that kind of help considering where we were headed and how likely we would have gotten there with Hillary Clinton ...
Over 60 million “nobodies” saw it before Nov 2016 and we are not surprised (well not completely surprised, Trump is doing more than I expected worldwide. I wish He would force the wall at home a bit more.)
I supported Trump the day he declared he would run. I researched him and found him to be a giving man, a patriot, a businessman who stood with his workers, a man his sons admired, one who stood his ground and was a fighter. He had amassed a fortune and he didn’t do it sitting round waiting on it to come to him. He is very socialable... treats others with kindness as long as they don’t attack him personally. Personal attacks draw his reaction, which is swift and fierce. He does not let someone take advantage.
Now that is the makings of a good man to be in charge.. no matter what it is. It matters to me that he gets things done and not waste time. He fits the role of a good man to do just what he did with N Korea. He was not going to let them throw missiles and threats around. If that’s diplomacy, they can call it so. I call it a fighting spirit.
To be able to do what he does in the midst of all the attacks he has coming at him.. is remarkable! He takes care of business every day and does it in spite of all the attacks... which are the worst I have ever seen in my lifetime... many years.
OK, but can we say that the summit is a success until we see if NK follows through? I mean, hope it does, but haven’t there been other agreements with NK and they were lying the whole time?
We share a lot from what I see.
You’re observation about the attacks, absolutely true.
That he’s strong enough to handle them is near miraculous. That he’s capable of succeeding while they go on like that is miraculous.
