Cryptocurrency was invented to conceal the sources of funding for online purchases. It’s a terrible investment, but that doesn’t matter to those who use it to launder money.
Even a 40% loss is acceptable when you’re able to completely conceal illegal activities.
Cash carries much more risk in every respect.
