NEW YORK (AP) Thousands of demonstrators have marched across New Yorks Brooklyn Bridge in a protest against gun violence.
A student-led group called Youth Over Guns organized Saturdays protest. The group formed after the deadly mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February.
The protesters marched across the bridge and then rallied in lower Manhattan. Most wore orange to show their support for gun violence awareness.
Aalayah Eastmond, a survivor of the shooting at Parklands Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, addressed the crowd. Actresses Julianne Moore and Susan Sarandon also were in attendance.

Go march any weekend in Chicago
ha!
a nice sentiment but a totally useless walk
if they want to do something useful, they should work to getting firearms training and shooting sports back into all of our high schools
You are not allowed to be armed in any manner in NYC so what are they protesting?
So who paid for the nice shirts and signs?
Richard Gatling- A true American Hero.
The same guy who made a cash deal to sell them the Brooklyn Bridge. The protestors are still gushing about the sale.
Thousands of demonstrators have marched across New Yorks Brooklyn Bridge in a protest against gun violence, while ten times that number joined the NRA.
One of the supporters and organizers is “Everytown for Gun Safety” which is funded largely, by Michael Bloomberg. (Per some searches leading eventually to Wikipedia)...so, maybe he did make ‘em a deal on the bridge...
They must have known to wear orange from their hunter safety courses.
I guess Julianne Moore and Susan Sarandon were there to make up the Hollyweird hypocrite quota.
Nonsense!
One highly suspects that this is a "community" that is very tightly organized by the likes of, (guessing here, no proof so just a guess), Bill Ayers, Michael Boomberg, or some other well-funded, anti-American group or person that just hates our fine Country, and our government and our traditions; and, is perfectly willing to shift the spotlight onto innocent kids, who have been skillfully led down a "shining path".
Yes, an anti-civil rights march.
... Thousands of demonstrators have marched across New Yorks Brooklyn Bridge in a protest against gun violence...
It was all a promotion to sell them the bridge.
isn’t orange the preferred ISIS color ?
To be consistent their security should not carry firearms.
The only way to stop gun violence is with gun violence.
