According to the May 2018 Jobs Report, employment for foreign born workers grew three percent over the last year. In the same time period, employment for native born Americans grew less than 1.5 percent.
Job growth for foreign born men also has continued growing faster than job growth for native born men. In the last year, employment for foreign born male workers has grown 2.7 percent, while employment for native born male workers has grown much slower, at 1.7 percent.
The latest report follows months of employment data showing that foreign born workers and immigrants continue to have advantages over native born Americans when it comes to their rapidly growing employment opportunities.
Most recently, Breitbart News reported that employment for foreign born workers grew about four times faster than native born Americans between April 2017 and 2018.
The foreign born population has continued to boom in the U.S. due to mass legal immigration, whereby more than 1.5 million immigrants are admitted to the country every year.
There are now about 44 million foreign born residents living in the U.S., with the majority coming from Mexico, as Breitbart News has reported. Legal and illegal immigrants now make up close to 14 percent of the entire U.S. population — roughly one out of every eight American residents.

Given the state of our educational establishment does this surprise anyone?
Can we import foreign born teachers?
The report means very little until we see the occupations for the two groups. Are the foreign born just making minimum wage in service jobs while native Americans are taking the higher paying jobs? Hard to tell if this is good or bad news.
diversity. White middle aged males need not apply, even though in my field they ARE the minority diverse hires.
“Legal and illegal immigrants now make up close to 14 percent of the entire U.S. population roughly one out of every eight American residents.”
More than the 12.7% considered to be black Americans.
What it mostly means, I think, is that foreign workers are hiring their own, at the expense of native American workers.

Other way around. Middle/upper-middle class salaried IT positions are filled to the brim with foreigners, a large number of whom get in on resume fraud.
There is also some discrimination against native born white males that is n the rise.
Why, they won’t hire 1000s of Americans without super pinky swear certs.
They are in low paying IT jobs. Work that Americans will not do./s
“There is also some discrimination against native born white males that is n the rise”
Gee, really, ya think?!
Only for the last 50 years or so, but it’s never too late to notice...
Because many American corporations are still importing foreign laborers instead of hiring USA citizens for the jobs.
I have most definitely seen that. You cant prove their degree or their experience, so they couldnt possibly be lying, right?
This one guy formerly on my team was recently promoted to management by taking credit for other peoples work. He is from India and knows nothing but how to schmooze. Because he is a minority, he gets a preference.
Friggin idiot.
Open Doors to Foreign Students Leads to American Job Loss and National Security Threat.
Breitbart reported on Wednesday: Job Gains for Foreign-Born Workers Outpace Native-Born Americans. No surprise there the system is wired to benefit foreigners of questionable legality, from open borders to no universal e-verify.
Another doorway is through a college education: foreign students displace Americans on campus (which universities like for the full tuition), then the immigrants move straight into a US job, shafting young citizens twice over as one of the problems created.
....In particular, more than 300,000 students from Red China moving into American jobs is a red flag, when espionage is rampant and the Chinese are stealing US tech blind. The internet makes tech theft easier these days, but having live assets on the ground is still advantageous. Chinese spies range from students to employees and businesses. In 2007, Lou Dobbs reported on CNN: Three thousand front companies we know of, Chinese front companies, trying to steal American industrial secrets, in addition to the effort to steal U.S. technology.
Its worse now, of course. During a February 13 hearing of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Rubio asked the FBI director about the counterintelligence risk posed to U.S. national security from Chinese students.
Why does the government allow Chinese students to continue to infiltrate? Its slow-motion war, and Red China is prevailing. Let American students take those jobs and college slots in tech win-win.

Of Course. If you want to hire Engineers, who do you hire, The Indian, Pakistani immigrant or the typical Graduate from a High School in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, LA, etc.?
Understood. But some corporatiobs have well- Known, long- standing discrinimatory practices against many American graduates or at least some Americans, while importing foreigners by the thousands. Silly- con valley in Californication contains prime examples but its veey eidespread. The problem was a major issue at least as long ago as the 1970s in New York, too. The majority and in some cases neatly all engineers in some companies are now foreigners. And the discriminatory practices have been known to deny even interviews or acknowledgements of applications to some perfectly eager hard- working types with the very highest of qualifications from leading USA universities. I believe American companies in USA should hire qualified Americans first. And then only importbcritjcal skills only if and when they show they cant jore them here
... correction: cant hire qualified Americans here first. Ps: the majority of the population in several Silly- con valley towns are now foreigners, mostly communist Chinese but also from places like Korea India etc And reports persist that many of the corporations continue to import and hire more and more foreigners instead of interviewing and offering work to some very well- qualified Americans.
Given the sparkling new increased numbers of H1Bs, does this surprise anyone?
American Kids Last.. cant wait to vote in more of those guys!
Another factor is affirmative action. The legal immigrant who arrived a couple years ago gets affirmative action points that were intended to offset discrimination generations ago.
In some places, immigration status is one MORE point in favor of the person.
There were blacks who go in trouble for complaining that black African students were getting admitted to colleges and programs ahead of African Americans. They were told they were bigoted against immigrants and had to walk it back.
In a number of liberal areas, the Hispanic immigrant gets an extra check over the native born as officially less privileged and in need of extra help, whether in school admissions, scholarships or hiring.
Hiring of immigrants specifically brought in on a visa and bound to their employer certain affects these stats, too. Someone on an H1B visa can’t quit without being deported.
