When her dad is a POTUS from the wrong party.
[BLOGGER'S NOTE: I'll try to get through this post without using a word I'm really not supposed to use, even though the word itself is what I'm writing about.* Or at least I'll try not to say it too much. It's one of the worst words you can use in 2018 America. Also, my mom is going to read this. So if you're my mom and/or you don't like really rude words, I'll try not to offend you but I'm not making any promises. Maybe you should just close this tab and read something else on the Internet. If there even is anything else on the Internet today, other than this story.]
It's been a little over 24 hours since Roseanne Barr blew up her career (again) for saying something really stupid and hateful (again). And now, yet another alleged comedienne is in the news for being a loony, vulgar piece of garbage.
First, some background. On Sunday, Ivanka Trump tweeted the following:
If you think that's just a nice photo of a mother with her baby, you're obviously not #Resisting enough.
Ladies and gentlemen: the comedic stylings of Ms. Samantha Bee.
WARNING: THE C-WORD, AND SOME TORTURED LOGIC JUSTIFYING ITS USE
Dang. That is not the word I'd use. Say what you want about Ivanka Trump, but she's got plenty of feck.
As David Rutz at the Washington Free Beacon notes:
The remark came at the end of her weekly program "Full Frontal's" A block, where the left-wing comic blasted the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy of separating illegal immigrant children from their parents at the border. Bee acknowledged this policy did not begin under President Trump, but she said he had made it worse.
So, Samantha Bee dropped a C-bomb on Ivanka because... um... because she posted a picture of herself holding her baby, at the same time that her dad is... er... continuing the immigration policies of the Obama administration. That's what Samantha Bee is so performatively angry about. That's what one of her writers wrote for her to say, and TBS approved it for broadcast. On a half-hour show that she gets an entire week to put together. That's the best she could do.
Just as Roseanne was held to a different standard because she supports a president she's not supposed to support, Samantha Bee will be held to a different standard because she hates a president she's supposed to hate. It doesn't have to make sense. It doesn't have to be intellectually consistent. Tribalism doesn't work that way. Ms. Bee just has to reinforce her ties to her tribe. She has to remind them that she's one of them, not one of us. She's expected to say certain things, with a certain level of invective. Even if it means she has to throw out that word on national TV.
No. When her dad is Donald Trump is the correct answer.
If McCain had won (God forbid), does anyone thing S-Bee would have used the same words about Meghan?
It’s Trump who has driven them insane, not just anyone “from the wrong party”.
I thought earlier that Ivanka should use #metoo. But then I realized that she isn’t a victim. She’s a strong confident woman.
What is a good hashtag for us women who refuse to play the boo hoo victim card?
What Samantha Bee said was far more offensive than anything said by those who have been destroyed by the left for saying the wrong things.
When Her Dad is POTUS AND PATRIOT!!!
The GOP is mostly Leftist Light - wrong for us, good for the Left.
Patriots are the RIGHT PEOPLE and “wrong” for the Leftists but of course the Left is WRONG for America.
Samantha Jauna Bee, foot soldier for the regressives.
The “C” word was invented to describe Hillary and we were so polite that we never used it to describe her. What were we thinking?
Its also OK if shes Sarah Palin (ie, Sandra Bernhard calling for her black brothers to gang-rape Palin if she came to NYC. Nobody on the left minded Bernhard The Scum-Sucking Fish calling blacks, gang-rapists at her command, either).
What’s funny is that they are all fine with Trump before he beat that staggeringly stupid, utterly corrupt, infinitely arrogant and void of talent woman thing.
Were not as adept as the left at sloganeering because we think in depth, not soundbites, but I suppose in the Twitter age wed better get up to speed on that.
That word is never OK when used to impugn or malign a woman. It, to me, is by far the most taboo word in our language.
Please don’t go there, we are better than that.
Women who can’t understand normal thinking deserve the epithet ...
I hadn’t heard, but given that Ivanka is a class act, I don’t imagine that she’d respond in kind.
Nice of you to impose your taboos on the rest of us.
Democrats are always carrying on about how they take the high road.
President Trump isn’t Presidential enough to suit piggish liberals who make the most filthy, despicable, depraved public comments imaginable about the President, his family and associates.
To name just a few of the many:
Samantha Bee, Michelle Wolf, Bill Maher, Sally Field, Joy Reid, Kathy Griffin, Kisten “F-Bomb” Gillibrand, April Ryan.
Roseanne Barr was fired for making a bad joke about Valerie Jarrett and the “Planet of the Apes”.
But Bill Maher made a filthy comment about President Trump’s mother “***king” apes and liberals just chuckled.
The feminist women of The Sisterhood will gleefully stab other women in the back out of malice and a desire to advance their genocidal agenda.
What’s wrong is wrong. An action, or word that is wrong for one person is wrong for anyone, regardless of race, political affiliation or any other circumstance.
The two most common references to George W. Bush by leftists were “chimp” and “shrub”.
The first of those was directly connected to his appearance.
The Fake News Media did not object.
