COLLUSION Trey Gowdy Didn’t Even See Documents He Claims Exonerate FBI On Spygate: Reports
Federalist ^

Posted on 05/30/2018 8:18:22 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

Gowdy claimed that the FBI's use of spies against the Trump campaign was perfectly proper, but multiple reports indicate he never even saw the full records Congress subpoenaed on the matter.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) recently suggested the FBI did nothing wrong when it used at least one government informant to secretly collect information on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Public reports indicate, however, that Gowdy never even reviewed the relevant documents on the matter subpoenaed by Congress. In fact, a spokeswoman for Gowdy told The Federalist that the congressman doesn’t even know what documents and records were subpoenaed by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

Gowdy has always been swine. I’m more worried about Nunes & how silent he has been.

The lack of comment by Nunes is highly unusual.

I find the whole thing outrageous and scandalous. However, I am starting to wonder if the FBI was not supremely played at the highest level by our intelligence services and the state department. It does not excuse what happened, but it might confirm what many of us think - the root of this was with the administration and Clapper/Brennan. If you stop and think about it, the FBI was not the originating source for any of the reliable information that we know. They acted on what CIA and State were feeding them. Comey has all but said he idolizes Brennan/Clapper so he likely had great trust in what they told him and the information they funneled to the FBI. I realize that Comey, McCabe, Strozk, Page, and others clearly had an anti-Trump bias, but that makes them far more susceptible to being played when the target was Trump. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for the decision on the Clinton email investigation.

The key is WHO was driving the bus on the Trump investigation. Why has the CIA not been called before congress to explain what they knew? Nunes early on said he thought the State Department was involved in this, but we know little other than they passed on the Australian diplomat information, which could have also been another hook planted by the CIA.

I think the narrative is completely rotten, and it is impossible to defend what we know about the FBI special matters group and what they did in both investigations, but I think the FBI portion of this case was only a small slice of a much big pie that is probably far different (and bigger) than we think.

Gowdy’s comments are odd and they neglect the damage the leaked information from the investigation has done to this President from the transition all the way up until the appointment of Mueller and now we are told the President is not a target after 14 months of Trump-Russia nonstop??????? The damage has targeted the President due to the deep state leaks and constant drumbeat of the MSM. Notice what he said and I am paraphrasing - if the American people knew what the FBI was told they would have wanted them to investigate it. Think on that for a bit.... what were they told?

We know something bad happened, but this likely goes FAR beyond the 7th floor of the FBI and at some point, I expect the FBI has already done an extensive internal review and questioned their lead investigators and his paramour about how this thing unfolded. The documentation exists and it is all likely spelled out in the FISA warrant applications. What if it was all planted information with even plants to “corroborate” the information? Classic CIA game to feed disinformation with a goal in mind.

Brennan > Comey

Gowdy is an all-talk attention whore anyway.

The real question is WTH is doing Wray? He was put at the head of the FBI after all but so far, he has been as much a zombie as Useless Sessions, doing nothing apart obstructing, redacting and subverting the President agenda by letting this farce continue without moving a finger.

I am beginning to despise this impotent and ineffective bastard nearly as much as I hate Sessions.

“Congress can’t arrest anybody!” -— Gowdy. No, but they can refer people to the justice department for charges.

Gowdy is protecting someone or people, including, perhaps himself...

All that's well and good but I think they forgot that they're dealing with a guy who can build skyscrapers. Trump's playing his cards right so far and is running rings around these fools. The public is more and more behind him every day.

This president may just turn out to be the left's fitting end.

As LS said, "All Hat....."

So Gowdy made his DC fame by "aggressively questioning" Hillary at Benghazi? Sheesh. We "aggressively question" the psychopathic liberals every day around here.

Do we get a medal too?

This makes sense. I doubt Deep State’s infiltration of the Trump campaign was it’s first go at this. They’ve probably been surveilling members of Congress for years. Surveilling and blackmailing.

If Congress has been compromised...holy cr@p.

He’s either compromised, was never who he tried to seem to be, or is trying to get in the good graces of Rosenstein to get to the real truth....only one of those that makes me feel better about him is the least likely in my opinion....
