San Francisco officer’s shots at moving vehicle rekindle tense debate

It stands as one of the most visible and contested policy changes in an era of reform for San Francisco’s police force: Officers are now barred in most circumstances from shooting at suspects in moving vehicles.

But this month, it happened again. A rookie officer, officials said, is under investigation after firing two shots at a fleeing auto burglary suspect, a man who was allegedly driving a car toward a fellow cop in the Western Addition.

Who the hell would want to be a cop these days? Older ones riding it out for the pension I understand. But young guys starting out?
