People with factitious disorders act this way because of an inner need to be seen as ill or injured, not to achieve a concrete benefit, such as financial gain.
Except she does everything she can to conceal her illnesses. Like FDR.

Until she is indicted. Then it will be revealed how "sick" she actually is and how can you possibly prosecute someone that ill ?
