“Independent” Governor Bill Walker was illegally running in the rat primary, if he had won he’d have declined the nomination and there would have been no official rat nominee to take votes from him.
But guess what, Former Senator Mark Begich is running, so Walker has ditched his rat primary plan, there WILL be a split in the leftist vote, which should facilitate a Republican reclamation of the office.

Ex-Lt Gov. Mead Treadwell jumped in at the last minute on the GOP side for Governor. It should be his to lose (although he placed a poor 3rd when he ran at the end of his term for the Senate in the GOP primary).
