Despite popular depictions of subsidy recipients as the deserving poor or people hardly able to feed themselves or their children without help, the statistics tend to show another picture. A recent economic study highlighted the shocking fact that essentially nobody in the United States will be poor if he or she merely works full-time at the minimum wage, even if that person has children.
The main reason people are poor is because they arent working, said study author Peter Ferrara, a senior fellow at the Goodman Institute for Public Policy Research, in a press release accompanying the study. The welfare state deserves a lot of blame for that.

Half of all WORKING Americans make $30,000 a year or less. Ponder that.
its a difficult row to hoe....
two married adults working full time minimum wage jobs would do okay...not rich...but okay...
Yeah, that is crazy. I was making more than that 15 years ago (prob equiv of $40k today) after working in retail for 2 years as a department manager at a grocery store (starting as a cashier). All it took was hard work and a good attitude.
And even less than that will have any retirement options at all. Besides Social Security.
Poor people have poor habits.
Get rid of the expensive luxuries: cell phones, cable tv/internet, hair extensions, tattoos, custom wheels for your ghetto cruiser, smoking - and all this is very doable.
You’re almost poor! Don’t live like you aren’t.
I got whiners in my office complaining about their sales and making excuses for mine.
Their customers are apparently price sensitive, while mine are not. Lucky
Their territories just don’t have the leads, while mine does. Lucky
They have to give their customers whatever they want, while mine are apparently happy I showed up. Lucky
Their territories don’t produce all that many leads, while mine produces the lions share of leads. Lucky
Their prospects are going to make decisions whenever they make decisions. My prospects are just ready. Lucky
Stupid....
Make some calls.
Stop saying yes to everything a prospect wants(desperate)
Decide who you will do business with and who you will not.
Decide when you will take them on as customers(Hint: not every sale needs to be closed today, particularly if you only have “X” amount of resources. Plan your sales)
Know who you are picking up as customers in 30, 60, 60 and 120 days out....
Now, get to work.
Lucks Got Nothing to do With It...

And now my daughter and her husband are moving here from Seattle next month. Same situation. The crazy cost of living rising even faster than their wages along with the rising taxes just sent them over the edge.
Why didnt the article point out the following?
As a consequence of the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress making bad trade deals for many decades, job opportunities went overseas.
Its like were being expected to believe that the lawless, welfare-promoting Obama Administration never happened.
Insights welcome.
Remember in November. We need to elect a Trump-supporting Congress.
“two married adults working full time minimum wage jobs would do okay...not rich...but okay...”
I think that largely depends on where these two married adults live. And if there are any children.
And then again doing “okay” is different for different people as well.
Back in the 80’s I placed pay telephones (remember those things?) and averaged $900 a day. But there were days that I made $20-40,000.
And LOTS of those people like putting EVERYTHING on their charge card... they pay tons of interest
Here in a Dallas/Ft Worth suburb we pay $1,100 a month for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath brand-new manufactured home. Can’t do that in Brooklyn, Seattle, San Francisco or Boston.
“Remember in November. We need to elect a Trump-supporting Congress.”
Can that be done without getting rid of the current Republican leadership (GOPe)?
“Decide who you will do business with and who you will not.”

And avoid people named “Patel”—(from Glengarry Glen Ross.)

.
My daughter and her husband paid, for a very old three bedroom, two bath home on a postage stamp lot with one parking stall and precious little street parking, $3,400 a month.
BTW, I like to bug my Seattle friends about the property taxes on my place. 32 acres with two streams and a natural well, newer home and large barn and $565 a year in property taxes.
And when we reach 65 next year it will be closer to $350.
Our SS alone will come close to $44k, tax-free. I’ll still never come close to getting what I paid into it, but still...
AND, half can’t raise 400 bucks 4 an emergency...?
“e named Patel
Careful there..That is a VERY LARGE clan...
OTOH, they used to own 50% of the small motels in USA....CASH BIZ U no.....
This report will be SOOO buried by the race pimps.

At minimum wage?? How does an adult even reach a stupid conclusion like that? Consensus science?
