Agreed. As a one time boxing fan (no longer) I would like to mention as a matter of interest Joe Choynski. (1868-1943). Joe was American of Polish Jewish descent. He knocked out an inexperience novice Jack Johnson in three rounds 1901. Both incarcerated for disturbing the peace. They formed a friendship and Choynski taught Johnson to really box. Not everyone was prejudiced in those days.
