Our house was raided by the King County SWAT team shortly after we moved in around 25 years ago. I was at work, my wife was at home recovering from foot surgery. She is 5’4” and 100 pounds. She was held against a wall with a gun pointed at her head while the rest of the rifle wielding cowboys ran all around our house making a lot of noise and a huge mess.

My wife was very concerned about the safety of our three dogs. Fortunately they were all contained at the time of the “attack”. It was of course a total screw up, but they had a warrant with our address signed by a judge looking for someone who never had any relation to our home. We never received any sort of rational explanation, apology or compensation for the damage they caused.

“We never received any sort of rational explanation, apology or compensation for the damage they caused.”

That’s what they were hoping would happen. You missed the boat by not suing them at the time of the incident. The only way this stuff stops is when it gets enough attention, and it costs government large sums of money!

I’m sorry. And thanks for a real world report supporting how bad this whole thing is with “SWAT” teams. Especially those connected with Federal Agencies.
