Mr. President, please send the troops to Chicago
The Hill ^ | May 24, 2018 | Jason D. Hill

President Trump, during your presidential campaign you made a promise to send federal troops to drain the swamp in Washington, D.C., and also one festering with feral thugs and gang-bangers who are committing genocide among black Americans right in the great city of Chicago.

I won’t quote you the homicide statistics, past and present, because by the time you read this they will have changed. Suffice it to say: They are horrific.

Something is terribly wrong when, in the most moral nation on earth, its third-largest city is ruled by gangs with a crime rate that is 35 percent higher than the national average.

Wannabe-commandos terrorize neighborhoods, challenging not only local authorities but the very authority you exercise as president of this great nation. The potency of your own presidency is ridiculed when thugs and barbaric criminals take it upon themselves to establish lawless fiefdoms, usurping the law and order on which this republic was built and upon which its continued existence depends, as they kill innocent lives.

> Let the people of Chicago figure it out. <

You’re right. Anyway, troops - federal or state - are only good for two things: enforcing curfews and stopping looting.

Chicago is not under curfew. And there is no looting going on (well, maybe there’s a little). So what good would troops be?

Chicongo. What’s the difference in what’s going on in the Windy City and the “Democratic” Republic of Congo? In both places you have blacks who have committed war on each other and it’s ongoing! We don’t hear as much about the constant warfare in the Republic of Congo because of all the attention to the ongoing war in Sudan!

Chicongo is just what Obama organized it to be.
His chief of staff is now Mayor.

You can always count on an ivory tower “academic” to come up with an especially stupid idea.

Why just pass another gun control and city wide sanctuary laws. There easily solves no need for Trump to get involved. When Illinois passes that 1% tax on property values for 30 years, that should really help.

As Chicagoan, I say No. Let them kill each other off. It reduces crimes. The numbers bear this out

Chicago is the drug capital of America. What you are seeing is drug deaths. Sorry. Until you stop the flow of drugs into Chicago, the killings for drug territories won’t stop.

Why so they can add “burning the city down” to their bag of tricks? Because that is what will happen the first time a black person is killed or injured.

Jason D. Hill, rahm has had plenty of time to fix this issue.

“The Illinois Governor would have to ask or give permission for the troops. Trump cannot invade a state.”

Trump needs to stay completely out of Chicago. The local Marxist Capos have the “control,” and as sad as it is to say it, he should just let the carnage there continue. Chicagoans made their bed decades ago, and they should be made to sleep in it. Sad to say, Rham Emanuel isn’t Benjamin Netanyahu.

Before we reject the idea, how about the military moves in, shoots every corrupt city and county official, IE, all the democrats, confiscates all their bank accounts and property, under the RICO statutes, and puzzles out how the president of the United States, somehow, became a millionaire, as an elected politician, in this city...

Right. Which gives Chicago four options:

1. Demand that all drugs be made legal. Buy ‘em at the corner store if you want.
2. Demand secure borders. Nothing illegal gets in.
3. Demand the death penalty for drug trafficking.
4. Form at least six different blue ribbon panels to study the issue. All the panelists will blame the NRA.

I’m betting they’ll go with #4.

Chicago’s problem, like NYC’s in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, isn’t a lack of law enforcement personnel. It’s a lack of will to enforce the law.

As great as this might sound, it’s a terrible idea. I wouldn’t want to “send the troops in” anywhere in the U.S. unless asked to be there, so that they can also be asked to leave.

Troops will not make a difference. Heck, there is already a massive police presence but the Chicago city is sooooooo corrupt that no one enforces the law.

This isn’t about enough force being present. This is about not enough use of existing force and the savagery of those committing the crimes. When the low IQ crowd gets out of control, murders happen. Just look at Africa.

Woodrow Wilson Mann, the mayor of Little Rock, asked President Eisenhower to send federal troops to enforce integration and protect the nine students. On September 24, the President ordered the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army—without its black soldiers, who rejoined the division a month later—to Little Rock and federalized the entire 10,000-member Arkansas National Guard.

Eisenhower thought Governor Faubus had agreed to enroll African American students, so he told Faubus that his National Guard troops could stay at Central High and enforce order. He pulled them out so for the protection of American citizens, Eisenhawer federalized them to support the deal he said Faubus agreed to. So, the governor cleared assistance with the deal.

I blame the majority for voting for the DIM/LIB machine. The ultimate vote is to leave. If you are a business owner, move it.

It must be an Obama thing among Conservatives when it comes to murder rates many Conservatives keep focused on Chicago.

But I have to question how much that focus, from Conservatives, is really about the murder rates.

Why?

New Orleans, and many other cities have much higher murder rates than Chicago, and if a citizen is concerned, it’s the percentages (chances) that matter. Even though Chicago has more people than New Orleans, the chances of being murdered are greater in New Orleans.

The top 1,2,3,4 highest murder rates are in St. Louis (#1), Baltimore (#2), Detroit (#3) and New Orleans (#4). Chicago is way down at number 25 (out of the 30 top ones).

Safety or lack of safety is in percentages (chances) not mere numbers. Insurance companies and law enforcement knows that as should you folk.
