It’s still too early to pat yourself on the back. There are too many players still out there and in high places.

I don’t think Trump is patting himself on the back, I think he’s doing his part to turn public perception against the deep state. His comments are designed to help put them on the defensive and change the conversation.

Like it or not, our war against deep state corruption will largely be seen as Republicans going after Democrats. Our champion is Trump - their champions are Obamas and Clintons. As such, we not only lack the advantage of a coopted and partisan MSM, but we will have to overcome it.

All the hard evidence and hard truth in the world won’t bring any Democrats to justice until public sentiment turns against them. The enforcement of law in the government arena is essentially political - all players serve at the pleasure of political appointees who ultimately serve at the pleasure of elected officials who ultimately serve at the pleasure of we the people.

Politicians, bureaucrats and pundits rarely stick their necks out for what is right - but they are fickle - the minute public opinion turns against the perpetrators of Spygate, Clinton/Obama Favor Factory and all the shameless crimes, coverups and abuses of power, the politicians, the bureaucracy - even the MSM - will change their tune over night. They’ll throw the bad guys under the bus in a heartbeat, and claim outrage.

They’ll never admit they were wrong - they’ll claim that’s what they’ve been saying all along.

Trump is good at branding his enemies
