Nobody wants to see the poor have a huge tax burden. That being said you cannot support “Taxation without Representation” or it’s opposite “Representation without taxation”. Many of the problems faced by this nation are from a simple fact that only about 50% of the people pay all of the taxes. The other 50% just vote themselves more money and benefits. In a sense, Government grows because it feeds on tax dollars provided by the 50% whom vote for more taxes. Take away that ‘sheltered status’ and the concept of ‘others peoples money’ and the ship can be righted. So, the poor should be taxed, must feel the burden of Government, for the good of the republic.
While it may not be popular, we need to make sure every american is taxed, so we all feel government.

Agree. Everyone should have to put skin in the game. Even just a small amount.
Absolutely agree.
Even if it is a nominal amount, everybody pays something.
That would change some voting patterns in a heartbeat.
I agree that everyone should pay their share regardless of income. That is not what Bloomberg is saying. He wants to control people through taxation....social conditioning....like a good little progressive...hmmmpf commie.
