France has a huge trade deficit with China too, as does the EU.
But the free there are worried about exports instead of all the jobs they lost to the cheap imports.
If China starts buying more from the US, China might buy less from France and EU causing their large trade deficits to get worse.
Instead of growing a spine and demanding a lower trade deficit with China, they are going to whine about the US doing something about our trade deficit.
Bingo! Just as they whined when we took out one cash cow - Saddam....just as they are whining we’re about to shut down another cash cow - Iran.
This, while the US continues to provide for their defense. I think most of us can see it. They’re just a bunch of useless leeches eager to stick the knife in our backs and take each and every opportunity to pocket money from undemocratic regimes. They think it “unfair” that they should have to compete with US companies on an even basis.
