Opponents say that sanctuary cities cost citizens money, promote crime and disregard the rule of law. Those are all very good in the abstract, but it’s hard for us to conceptualize just what that actually means.
If you need the reality of the situation brought home to you, this testimony by a Hispanic woman at the public hearing for California’s sanctuary state bill should tell you all you need to know about just how destructive such policies are.
“I don’t think he was the first victim, but we’re the first families to speak out in the state of California,” she said, adding that she was “representing the angel mothers whose children have been slaughtered and murdered in our communities” by illegal aliens
She accused lawmakers of “making money off of our dead children” by pushing the bill, SB 54.
“You have weeping mothers! Weeping mothers, not just in California but across the United States!” she exclaimed. “It’s not here, it’s everywhere now!”
“The California Values Act will limit immigration enforcement actions at public schools, hospitals and courthouses where all California residents should feel safe, regardless of immigration status.”
Except, of course, for the ones murdered by the very people Sen. de León and Jerry Brown are protecting in their sanctuary state.

The year I spent in El Paso made me well aware of that reality!

My son’s in-laws and all their extended family are legal immigrants from Mexico. To say that they are rabid Trumpistas is a big understatement. They are really into MAGA.
Wow that is awesome! Being an American of Mexican ancestry I am happy to hear this. I pray to God that there will be a version of a Mexico Donald Trump who will bat for its people and drain the swamp along with the cartels.
