If they would just focus on delivering their product, than trying to appease every Tom, Dick and Beaner who has a complaint, they would be better off.
Instead they are focusing on all of the obstacles and distractions. They've lost sight of what their core business is. Selling coffee.
Not playing community activists and social justice warriors.
Oh, how I long for the days when you could go into a diner and order a $0.05 cup of joe.
And said we have people paying $7 a cup for coffee. A friend of mine does it every morning in the Drive-Thru no less.
The best way to handle this crap is to call everybody Dick. Easy to remember, you never forget anyone’s name, and easy to spell. “Here’s your coffee Dick. Enjoy.”

Why hasn't Starbucks identified the alleged culprit (at least internally if not publicly) and why haven't they announced the person was fired?
Sometimes they dont hear the name right. Probaly what happened here. The vowel sounds in the Peter and Beaner are the same.

Well since they have not had the reeducation camp meeting yet they can add this offense to the meeting docket.

Starbucks likely knows it's a scam but they're not going to say so publicly because of the backlash they'll get.
In this climate they're just going to take the hit and hope it's soon forgotten.
Peter, Beaner... Wouldn’t surprise me if such a mistake happened at the end of the morning rush in La Canada.
It’d never be because someone was racist at any store there; Starbucks only hires the most liberal of employees in that district. If you’re looking for stores to call the cops because you’re wearing a MAGA hat, these are the stores to go to.
Somewhere, tonight, there’s an employee absolutely horrified about what they did. They’re going to need an awfully big safe space to retreat to.
Starbucks caved on the last issue, now they are open game for settlements. Just like Denny’s.
Their penile stepping so far has been in reaction to two people loitering in their store in PA. I’m sure somewhere there are executives saying ‘hold my glass of wine’ as they make ready to make another mountain out of a molehill.
