I had an air hose and an air tank on a m978 hemmtt fuel truck. Was a daily routine to pull the air filter and blow out the fine dust that accumlated in the filter. That pressurized air helped me keep my rifle clean too.

Agree ..... I was EOD, we were lucky to have lots of equipment and tools available and a compressor with a few 30 pound air tanks as well. That powdered grade of fine dust was the worst.... like that found in talc or new bag of concrete. Crazy then , never been in volcanic ash but have a few jars of the stuff sent to me on the shelf....

Caliche roads in our drought stricken area create a very fine dust problem currently. I really try to conduct a weekly PM on my air filters and vehicle cabin filters...... Stay Safe Troop !
