Taiwan should copy the Swiss. Send every discharged soldier home with his rifle and 100 rounds of ammunition.

Bring them back every 12-18 months for training and updates.

Even China’s Communists would think twice about invading if they knew there were 1+ million armed and trained civilians.

It would guarantee de-facto Taiwan independence.
