JERUSALEM — Hamas predictably took advantage of today’s official opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem to stage violent riots aimed at overrunning the Israel-Gaza border. The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza claims that so far 28 Palestinians were killed and hundreds more were wounded in riots taking place at 12 locations along the border. The casualty numbers, which are expected to rise, could not be immediately verified. Hamas has a history if exaggerating casualty claims.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that 50,000 Gazans are participating in the clashes. According to the IDF, three Gazans were shot while trying to plant explosive devices at the border fence, while others were killed attempting to open fire on Israeli soldiers.
The Times of Israel reports on the numerous violent attacks during today’s riots:
Protesters set tires on fire, sending thick plumes of black smoke into the air at several spots along the border, while the military said protesters assaulted the border fence and hurled rocks at soldiers. Several incendiary kites were flown toward Israel. One fell in a field outside Kibbutz outside Mefalsim, sparking a fire. Israeli firefighters and emergency personnel are at the scene.

Attempt to “Hijack” or try as they might, the embassy move still took place. Hamas can burn all the tires they want but getting too close to the “fence” will get them killed. (No loss)
The media unfortunately fails to inform people of the truth... Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel since the Israeli’s took it with their blood, sweat and tears. It’s a religious capital for Christians, Jews and Islamist... And thankfully the Israeli people are in control of it and not the so-called Palestinians. Otherwise, nobody would have access to it.

Today the masses from Gaza were supposed to flood through the fence, and overwhelm Israeli defenses.
Instead, they got three of their own killed, and another day of the same old photo ops - a bit more smoke, as they anted up a few from their dwindling stock of tires to burn.
They will be in a world of hurt if there is regime change in Iran, and thy have lost their Gulf Arab support.
